Single-Photon Active Event Sensor

Ziel

With the transition to Industry 5.0 and the rapid rise of Edge AI, the interaction between humanity and machines transcends traditional 2D frameworks. Our machines and we operate in dynamic spatial and temporal environments. Over the past 25 years, the computing and robotics sectors have evolved significantly—from mainframes to personal computing to mobile, and now to the Internet of Things, smart robots, drones, electric vehicles, mobile/cloud technologies, and AI/GenAI. However, current 3D sensing technologies face limitations in performance, energy efficiency, and user experience for Industry 5.0 and XR applications. As demand grows, high-performance, low-latency, and energy-efficient solutions become crucial. Overcoming these challenges is essential for advancing spatial awareness, real-time environment mapping, and seamless virtual-physical integration. XR companies must develop methods for efficient integration while minimizing power consumption and miniaturizing devices.

Single-Photon Active Event Sensor (SPAES) is VoxelSensors’s core sensing architecture built on its patented Switching Pixels® 3D perception technology, unlocking the true potential of the new era of XR. SPAES is a disruptive new approach to sensing the world in three dimensions. It is the most efficient sensing architecture, offering novel and unique active event sensors and systems that solve the problem of high power-low latency correlation existing in the industry with an entirely novel approach and data path. This effort focuses on bolstering Industry 5.0 and professional XR applications across various industrial sectors.

We are a cutting-edge Deep-Tech sensing company founded in 2020 with a proven track record of transforming complex hardware and software technologies into scalable products. The founders of VoxelSensors boast over 50 years of combined experience in developing cutting-edge 3D sensor technologies, camera systems, and applications in several markets.
